NPM to connect manufacturers directly with consumers

National Product Magazine (NPM) says this year’s Business Show will give consumers a chance to engage directly with manufacturers and purchase products at special prices ahead of the festive season.

NPM Managing Director Arthur Chinyamula says the new approach is intended to make the annual event more consumer-focused while creating opportunities for businesses to understand market demands.

Chinyamula said the magazine’s previous year-end programmes centred largely on recognising manufacturing and business achievements, with exhibitions organised alongside the awards ceremony.

He said the 2026 edition will expand that approach by bringing businesses, government representatives and consumers together to promote locally available products and strengthen links between producers and the market.

The event, scheduled for 28 November at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe, is expected to attract more than 70 companies exhibiting products and services across various sectors.

The programme will conclude with the NPM Year-End Awards Gala, which will honour businesses and individuals for their contributions to the country’s development.

The event also coincides with the magazine’s 130th edition.
