Maranatha Academy reports strong response to scholarship registration

Maranatha Academy says it has received a strong response from learners registering for its 2026 National Scholarship Programme, under which the institution plans to invest K12 billion in secondary education over the next four years.

The institution said students across the country from underprivileged families should grab the opportunity as Registration remains open nationwide for students in Forms One to Four attending public, private and grant-aided secondary schools, including learners already enrolled at the academy.

The institution said  the programme will provide 500 scholarships, making it the largest scholarship initiative it has undertaken to date.

According to the Academy’s Director, Enerst Kaonga, applications have been received from across the country, reflecting the demand for financial assistance among families seeking to keep children in school.

The scholarships will cover full tuition fees for successful applicants throughout their secondary school education. Such support can help reduce the financial burden on households, improve school retention and enable academically capable learners from disadvantaged backgrounds to complete their studies.

The academy said  interviews for shortlisted candidates will be conducted in different parts of the country before the final selection is made.

Education stakeholders say scholarship programmes can help expand access to education by supporting deserving learners who might otherwise struggle to meet the cost of school fees, while contributing to the development of a skilled workforce.
