Dedza District Council supports police visibility with new unit

Dedza District Council will spend atleast K120 million to construct modern staff houses, drill a borehole and erect a solar system at Namakasu Police Unit.

Director of Planning and Development at the council, MacPheson Mwakhwawa, confirmed the development.

Mwizamose Nyoni, who is the Officer-in-Charge for Dedza Police Station, described the move as a significant step torwards enhancing security in the area.

In an interview with MBC, Nyoni commended the Dedza District Council for supporting police visibility in rural areas through the construction of the police unit.
