Raiply Malawi Limited says it is impressed with the participation of schools in Raiply Malawi Limited Primary Schools Netball and Football Trophy, aimed at unearthing talent in Mzimba South Education Zones.
The company’s Public Relations Officer, Dalitso Chimwala, said this at Mtangatanga Primary School Ground during the finals of Raiply Malawi Ltd Netball and Football Primary Schools Trophy.
He said since its inception in 2008, the tournament has witnessed an increase of participating schools from six in one zone to 23 schools in four zones this year.
Primary Education Advisor for Chikangawa Zone, Charles Phiri, said the trophy has helped to increase and retain enrollment rate and academic performance in the schools.
In the football category, Machechete Primary School defeated Matavu Primary School by three goals to nil, walking away with K180,000 and a trophy for emerging champions while in Netball, Kajolwe Primary School are champions after beating Kathibi Primary School by 26 goals to 22, and collected a trophy and K180,000 in cash.
