Journalist-cum-author Herbert Katanda has showered praise on First Lady Monica Chakwera in his poem titled “Monica Chakwera” as a tribute to her philanthropic endeavours towards girl-child education and women’s empowerment.
Katanda had penned the poem during Women’s Month in March, finding it fitting to delve into such a theme.
“I crafted this piece to serve as a beacon of inspiration for others. By reflecting on the First Lady’s altruistic deeds, I hope others will recognise the significance of supporting one another,” he expressed.
The poem is scheduled for release after mobilising funds and marks the artist’s inaugural poetry publication.
