Temesgen Butamo, a 28-year-old man, has made history by winning a staggering K639,386,189.26 from football betting with Premier Bet.
This marks the largest winning amount ever by a local Premier Bet customer.
Butamo, who previously won K54 million in 2018, correctly predicted the outcomes of 22 games after placing a stake of K300.
The new millionaire has announced plans to venture into agribusiness.
Commenting on the biggest win, the company’s Chief Executive officer Trevor Whitaker said he is happy that they can now register record winners but he nonetheless warned customers against irresponsible gambling.
