Roads Authority Malawi has affirmed that the three major road expansion projects in Lilongwe are nearing completion.
Chief Executive Officer for the Authority, Ammiel Champiti, says the the 10.5 Kilometre stretch from Crossroads to Kanengo is at 97%, Mzimba Street is at 81% and Kenyatta Road is now at 81% completion rate.
Champiti made the disclosure on Friday in the capital city during an inspection tour of the projects.
According to him, all projects are slated for completion by December 2024. He said the roads are expected to improve the city’s infrastructure and ease traffic congestion.
