Expectations are high that the construction of Masukambiya Health Post at Group Village Headman Masukambiya in Chikwawa Mkombezi will improve health service delivery in the area.
Over 15, 000 residents will benefit.
Parliamentarian for the area, Abida Mia, says that once completed, the facility will assist people in the area to access quality health services who currently travel almost 13 kilometres to the nearest facility.
The over 146 million kwacha project is being financed by the World Bank under the Governance to Enable Service Delivery (GESD).
