Finance Minister, Simplex Chithyola Banda, has announced that the Government is making significant progress in the development of public universities.
Currently, the Administration Block at the University of Malawi is nearing completion, with a 79% overall completion rate.
In addition, various structures at Mzuzu University and Kamuzu University of Health Sciences are at 58% and 46% completion rates respectively.
Furthermore, the first phase of the Inkosi Ya Makosi M’Mbelwa University Project has been successfully completed. As part of the Government’s commitment to higher education, the number of loan beneficiaries has also been increased to 14%.
