United Democratic Front spokesperson in Parliament, Ned Poya, has hailed the move by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to focus on Agriculture, Tourism, and Mining (ATM), as articulated in the President’s State of the Nation Address .
Poya also acknowledged Dr. Chakwera’s initiative to provide housing for security agencies.
However, he casts doubt on the effectiveness of the Affordable Inputs Programme in aiding disadvantaged Malawians.
Poya then emphasized the need for leadership reforms in stagnant parastatals.
