NICE advocates for inclusive participation in voter registration

The National Initiative for Civic Education (NICE) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting inclusive participation in the upcoming voter registration exercise, set to begin on 9 November 2024 in Rumphi District.

NICE’s Rumphi District Programmes Officer, Albert Mtonga, stressed the commitment during a media orientation session held in the district on Wednesday.

Mtonga noted that his office has developed awareness campaigns aimed at reaching every resident of the district, including people with disabilities, prisoners, and those in remote areas.

The voter registration exercise, a key step in the electoral process, will commence this Saturday and conclude on 23 November 2024 in Rumphi.

Other districts are allocated in the second phase of the voter registration exercise.
