Thousands of people in Blantyre CBD have welcomed President Dr Lazarus Chakwera and the First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera in the Southern Region.
They sang songs of praise as the Malawi leader, who is in the region to carry out a number of official engagements, drove by on his way to Sanjika Palace.
He was welcomed on arrival at Chileka Airport by the Minister of Information, Moses Kunkuyu and Malawi Congress Party officials and supporters.
