Malawi’s renowned music festival, Lake of Stars (LoS) returns after a five-year hiatus.
A statement issued on Tuesday indicates that the festival will return to the shores of Lake Malawi and will run from 6 to 8 September 2024 featuring local and international artists.
“This year’s festivities hold special significance as they align with the commemoration of Malawi’s 60th independence celebrations,” reads the statement in part.
“The festival will serve as a platform to not only celebrate artistic expression but also to honour the rich history and cultural heritage of the nation.
The first LoS was held in 2004 and attracts over 4,000 attendees with musical acts drawn mainly from Africa and Europe.
