Ministry of Foreign Affairs says no Malawian living or working in Israel has been injured or killed in the ongoing war between Israel and militia groups of Hamas and Hezbollah.
Publicist in the Ministry, Charles Nkhalamba, said the Israeli government has provided bomb shelters in all areas where people can run to during attacks.
Nkhalamba added that Malawians, just like Israeli citizens, have undergone serious safety drills in order to protect themselves during any attacks.
Nkhalamba further said the Malawi Embassy in Tel Aviv is in constant contact with Malawians through WhatsApp groups and a 24/7 help line so that anyone in need of immediate help can contact the embassy.
Israel has been at war with Hamas from Palestine and Hezbollah from Lebanon since 2023 and hundreds of thousands of people have been injured, killed and some displaced.
