Super League of Malawi (SULOM) has charged MAFCO FC with four counts bordering on acts of misconduct against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
According to a letter signed by SULOM General Secretary, Williams Banda, MAFCO players Vitumbiko Phiri, Blessings Chandiyang’ana and Duncan Mwale assaulted Bullets Attacker Wongani Lungu, while Goalkeeper Christopher Mikuwa is accused of assaulting Bullets midfielder Chawanangwa Gumbo.
The four also have a case to answer on acts of violence or attempted acts of violence on a fellow player.
The club has also been charged with bringing the game of football into disrepute through the actions of its players.
MAFCO have since been given 48 hours to respond to the charges.
