Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has announced that the first phase of voter registration for the 2025 general elections will begin on October 21 and conclude on November 3, 2024.
This initial phase will focus on 12 districts across the country.
In a recently released communique, the targeted districts are Machinga, Chiradzulu, Neno, Phalombe and Mulanje in the Southern Region.
Central Region districts include Nkhotakota, Ntchisi, Salima, and Dedza. In the northern region, the exercise will cover Chitipa, Karonga, Karonga Town, and Mzuzu.
