Minister of Education, Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima, has condemned the acts of vandalism by students in some schools in the country.
She was speaking in Mchinji when, together with education officials, she visited Kamwanya Community Day Secondary School which was vandalised on March 17, 2024.
She said the malpractice is retrogressive because the government is striving to provide students across the country with quality education.
So far, the police have arrested 11 students from the school and three are on the run.
The Ministry of Education has not yet disclosed whether or not the school will be closed.
