$90 million needed for refugee camp site

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) says they require an estimated $90 million for the establishment of a new refugee settlement site in Chitipa District.

The UNHCR, in partnership with the Malawi Government, is set to establish the site following congestion at Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Dowa.

Designation External Relations and Reporting Officer Gloria Nyangiye told MBC that they are working together with the government and development partners in mobilising the resources required for the process to be completed.
