Patricia Kaliati, the Secretary General of the UTM, has appealed to the party’s supporters and the nation at large to be peaceful during and after the burial of the country’s Vice President and UTM leader, late Dr Saulos Chilima.
Speaking at Chilima’s funeral at Bingu National Stadium, Kaliati said Dr. Chilima was a staunch advocate for peace hence UTM should uphold the same.
She said UTM has lost a mentor, performer, courageous and visionary patriot.
She also extended gratitude to President Dr Lazarus Chakwera for all the support rendered during the funeral.
