FCB BB beat Silver Strikers in NBS Charity Shield

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has beaten Silver Strikers 7-6 on post match penalties at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe in 2024 NBS Charity Shield match.

The two sides could not be separated in regulation time as it ended 0-0 and had to be decided through the penalties.

This was the first time for Silver coach, Peter Mponda, to face his former boss, Kalisto Pasuwa, after they both spent more than two years together in the same dugout.

The game was a curtain-raiser for the 2024 football season, with the TNM Super League Season set to kick off next weekend.

Proceeds from the match will go towards building sanitary facilities in schools yet to be identified in Lilongwe.

Last year, Bullets also claimed the Charity Shield through a 2-1 victory over their traditional rivals, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.
