Polymed Sacco Limited has posted a profit-after-tax of K200 Million in the 2023 financial year.
Speaking in Blantyre during its Annual General Meeting, Board Chairperson, Samson Kalulu, said the profit has jumped with about 50% comparing to the same period in the previous year.
Kalulu attributed the rise in profit margin to increased membership.
“Here in the Southern Region we have faced a number of calamities such us Cyclone Freddy, but our Sacco has been resilient,” said Kalulu.
One of the SACCO members, Anita Subiri, was delighted with the performance, saying it has helped her fulfill a number of projects.
Among others, Polymed Sacco Limited draws membership from personnel of Likuni Mission Hospital, Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, Malawi Institute of Journalism and Garda World.
