Eris Properties, a subsidiary of Nico Group, has presented the Malawi National Netball Team with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) House Award, which it won last weekend at the 2026 Institute of Marketing Malawi Marketing Excellence Awards in Mangochi District.
Eris won the award in recognition of its initiative to provide the Malawi Netball Queens with a dedicated house, which is located in Namiwawa, Blantyre.
The award was presented to the Queens as they have entered camp in preparation for the upcoming Africa Netball Cup, to be held in Kenya from 19 to 26 September.
Speaking at the event, Kizito Kumwenda, Legal Manager and Company Secretary of Eris Properties, praised the Queens’ outstanding performance at the Commonwealth Games, which contributed to Malawi’s rise in the World Netball rankings from ninth to eighth position.
He added that as sponsors, they expect the Queens to achieve even greater results at the upcoming Africa Netball Cup.
Netball Association of Malawi Treasurer, Cecelia Mtukule, expressed gratitude to Eris Properties for the initiative and for providing the Queens with a house that feels like home, one that allows them to train in comfort.
She also thanked Nico Group for its consistent support to the Queens.
