Lamba picked for elite African leadership circle

South African-based investment executive Mandla Lamba has been selected for a prestigious continental leadership gathering organised by W.O.W Africa, in recognition of his contribution to investment banking and enterprise development across Africa.

In a formal invitation, W.O.W Africa commended Lamba’s leadership as chief executive of Treadway, noting that he has “played a critical role in managing global operations, fostering innovation in capital markets, and facilitating strategic investment solutions across Africa”.

The organisation added that his work “continues to create meaningful access to financial opportunities, drive economic growth, and inspire leadership excellence within South Africa and beyond.”

Lamba has been confirmed as part of the W.O.W Africa “50 Rare Men Continental Circle 2026”, a private, invitation-only forum bringing together influential African leaders shaping enterprise and capital flows on the continent.

Explaining the rationale behind the convening, W.O.W Africa said: “What has remained rare is proximity,” underscoring the need for closer collaboration among high-level decision-makers across Africa.

The gathering will take place on 6 June 2026 in Johannesburg, bringing together founders, investors and institutional leaders to engage on the continent’s economic trajectory.

Signing off the invitation, W.O.W Africa said it “looks forward to receiving your presence in Sandton, Johannesburg”, adding: “There are few rooms on the continent where the conversation begins at this level. This is one of them.”
