Kukoma Diamonds defeated Tigresses 41-32 in the Rainbow Paints Blantyre District Netball League derby at the Blantyre Youth Centre.
The reigning champions, Diamonds, now lead the league with 12 points, while Tigresses have 8 points.
All quarters ended in favour of Diamonds, with scores of 6-12 in the first quarter, 15-23 in the second, 23-30 in the third, and 32-41 in the fourth.
Diamonds coach Noel Mussa praised his team for a spirited performance.
Tigresses’ coach Peace Chawinga Kalua noted that her team missed many scoring opportunities, which ultimately cost them the game.
