Ecobank Malawi has launched a new feature for corporate and business internet banking platform called “OmniPlus to Mobile Wallet Transfers.”
The innovation targets businesses, corporates, international organisations, government institutions and NGOs, enabling them to conduct multiple transfers directly from their business/corporate accounts to recipients’ mobile wallets on Airtel Money and TNM Mpamba.
Head of Payments & Cash Management at Ecobank Malawi Douglas Luka said the introduction of OmniPlus to Mobile Wallet Transfer signifies the bank’s commitment to driving innovation and enhancing financial inclusion in the country.
“Businesses can streamline their payroll processes by directly depositing salaries into employees’ mobile wallets, ensuring timely payments, and enhancing operational efficiency,” said Luka.
