Aids Healthcare Foundation (AHF), a United States-based global non-profit organisation has donated assorted medical supplies to public health establishments in Nsanje, Chikwawa, Dedza and Lilongwe districts.
Making a symbolic presentation in Chikwawa, medical officer for the group, Dr Emmanuel Kwataine, said the support is complimenting governments efforts in the provision of quality health care.
Director of Administration at Chikwawa District Council, Sandram Naluso, thanked AHF for the gesture, adding the donation will enhance service delivery.
According to Dr Kwataine, the donation which includes drugs for sexually transmitted infections and cervical cancer screening supplies is worth K117 million.
Established in 1987 and headquartered in Los Angeles, the Foundation provides health care to those living with or affected by HIV and AIDS.
