President Dr Lazarus Chakwera says the World Bank’s International Development Association Summit will provide a chance for Malawi to present some challenges that natural disasters have brought to the country.
Speaking on departure for Nairobi, Kenya at Kamuzu International Airport where he will attend the summit, Dr Chakwera indicated that the country would like to focus more on large-scale irrigation to meet the food deficit caused by El-nino weather as one of the immediate measures.
The Malawi leader is expected back on Monday 29 April,2024 through KIA.
