Project fuels hope on inclusive education

Education Minister Madalitso, Kambauwa Wirima, has reiterated that the government is committed to ensuring every child in Malawi has access to education, regardless of their vulnerabilities.

Wirima made the remarks in Lilongwe during the launch of the “Scaling-Up Innovative Gender, Inclusion, and Safeguarding Approaches” project by Link Community Development Malawi.

The project, which is expected to conclude in 2027, aims at promoting high quality sustainable education system that can reach the needs of all learners in the country.

Country Director of Link Community Development Malawi, Harold Kuombola, said the research project will use local strategies to enhance an inclusive education system in the country, both in primary and complementary basic education.

“We have partnered various organisations and institutions to improve education practices and support implementation of projects and education policies in the country,” said Kuombola.
