MISA Malawi hails support for training centre fundraiser

MISA Malawi has expressed its appreciation for the support received during a fundraising campaign, aimed at raising funds to complete its training centre.

MISA Malawi Chairperson, Golden Matonga, made the remarks in Lilongwe at the conclusion of a fundraising fun run, which saw the participation of both politicians and media practitioners.

The run, which commenced at Game Complex and ended at Gateway Mall, featured politicians such as Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba and Mathews Mtumbuka, who both completed the route.

Mumba, after crossing the finish line, said that his support for the initiative was driven by a desire to strengthen the media’s role in amplifying the voices of the voiceless.

Other notable contributors to the cause included President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, Vice President Dr Michael Usi, representatives from various political parties, and companies such as Lab20 Innovations.
