Karonga residents pledge to support Karonga United

Some residents in Karonga District have committed themselves to support Karonga United Football Club.

This comes after the team’s 2-1 victory over TNM Super League defending Champions, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at Karonga Stadium in the district.

Agabus Mwang’onda announced that he will start giving MK 100,000 to any Karonga United FC player who is voted Man of the Match, starting from the next game.

On Sunday, Mwang’onda gave K 50,000 to Karonga United player Saulos Moyo for being voted Man of the Match.

Robert Katawa, a businessman in Karonga, also gave K 100,000 to the players.

Many others made similar contributions after Karonga United, known as “Ingwana Syamwakaronga” won their match.

Senior Chief Kalonga and Group Village Malema 1 congratulated the team for their excellent performance.
