Member of Parliament for Dedza West, Philip Chinkhondo, has challenged Traditional Authorities to encourage eligible voters to get registered as the first phase of the voter registration draws closer to the end.
Chinkhondo said this on Saturday after registering at Chimwangalu Centre in the area of Senior Chief Kachere in Dedza.
Chimwangalu Centre Supervisor, Lloyd Makumbi, said they are receiving a lot of registrants.
“Our projection for this centre is 2250 but so far we are close to 2000. We expect more people coming to register,” Makumbi said.
