Chileka Police Station has urged learners at Lipunga Primary School in Blanytre to work hard so that they become reliable future citizens.
Led by Superintendent Efrida Mbulaje, a team from the police station celebrated with the learners at the school.
Chileka Police spokesperson, Jonathan Phillipo, said the initiative was born out of a community-police partnership aimed at motivating children to excel academically.
Head Teacher for the school, Costive Zinkambani, commended the men and women in uniform for inspiring the learners.
During the visit, the police officers rewarded learners who had achieved top grades in a bid to foster a spirit of determination and hard work.
