Bullets, Moyale set for high-stakes FDH Cup semi-final

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ head coach, Calisto Pasuwa, believes the winner of tonight’s FDH Bank Cup Semi-Final will be the team with the stronger mindset.

Speaking ahead of their match against Moyale Barracks, which will take place at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe at 5 PM, Pasuwa acknowledged the challenge they face.

He noted that playing against Moyale would be demanding due to their physical style of play, especially with only 72 hours of rest since their last game at the same venue on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Moyale’s coach, Pritchard Mwansa, expressed confidence in his team’s readiness to fight until the final whistle, whilst being aware of the high stakes.

Mwansa also mentioned that his squad is injury-free, providing them with valuable depth.

The Football Association of Malawi’s (FAM) Marketing and Broadcasting Manager, Tulipo Mwenelupembe, confirmed that all preparations for the game are complete.

Mwenelupembe added that FAM has already coordinated with the police and other security personnel to ensure safety both inside and outside the stadium.

Just recently, Bullets and Moyale clashed in a Super League match in Blantyre, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

In 2022, the two also met in the same cup but in the Round of 16 in which Bullets won 4-2 on post-match penalties after a 4-4 draw in regulation time.

The winner of this assignment will face Blue Eagles in the finals.
