President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has reiterated his dedication to the country’s development agenda, pointing out that he will not be swayed by political opponents who seek to undermine his progress.
He made these remarks at Marka in Nsanje, where he witnessed the arrival of 1.2 million litres of fuel by rail from Beira.
He described this as a milestone achievement, which is in line with his promise to restore rail transportation by 2025.
President Chakwera vowed to continue fixing the country’s broken systems for the benefit of the poor. He also highlighted the strong cooperation between Malawi and Mozambique, crediting the successful fuel transport as a testament to their solid partnership.
Earlier, Traditional Authority Ndamera of Nsanje praised President Chakwera’s legacy in reviving rail transportation, saying it will endure for generations.
