Woman nabbed for peddling fake HIV/AIDS cure

Police in Mangochi have apprehended a 25-year-old Mary Julius for allegedly selling Gentamicin Injection as a cure for HIV/AIDS through her TikTok Page.

According to Amina Tepani Daudi, Publicist of Mangochi Police Station, Julius was arrested over the weekend at Abuja Bus Depot within the Mangochi Boma.

Daudi said, “It is alleged that the suspect, known by the TikTok username ‘Gammora,’ had been promoting and selling Gammora Injection as a cure for HIV. She was marketing and administering a dosage of three bottles for a sum of K120,000.”

According to Daudi, it has also come to light that several HIV patients fell victim to the suspect’s scheme, prompting them to report her to the police, resulting in her arrest.
