Two arrested for abduction in Lumbadzi

Lumbadzi Police have arrested two individuals, Robin Njobvu and Same Phiri, on charges of kidnapping Christopher Daza, who allegedly owed the two K10,000.

According to Lumbadzi Police Station Public Relations Officer, Felix Kwinyani, a dispute arose between Daza and the two suspects, leading to them forcibly driving him away in a motor vehicle towards an undisclosed location along the Lumbadzi-Kasungu M1 road, threatening him in the process.

“Upon reaching the Kamuzu International Airport Junction police traffic checkpoint, Daza managed to escape from the moving vehicle, prompting traffic personnel to pursue and subsequently arrest the suspects,” Kwinyani stated.

The suspects will soon appear in court to face abduction charges.

Njobvu, originally from Mchezi Village, and Phiri, from Mkwachuka Village, both hail from the area of Traditional Authority Chimutu in Lilongwe.
