Pupils hail K26 million library project in Likoma

Chima Primary School learners have applauded the government for the K26 million library which is being constructed with Constituency Development Funds (CDF) in Likoma District.

Zikani Nyanda, a Standard Eight learner at Chima Primary School, noted that the school does not have adequate reading books due to the absence of the library and believes once it is completed, the learners will have access to various books.

Another beneficiary, Chisomo Nkhungulu, from the same school, said once the library has been completed, learners will be reading within their reach as the books will be readily available thereby improving the reading culture.

A teacher at the school, Martin Kasolota, said he was delighted with the coming in of the library project, saying once completed, it will reduce challenges learners have been encountering such as travelling long distances to access books.
