Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) says the third phase of the voter registration exercise, which will run from 28 November to 11 December this year, will cover eight councils.
In a statement signed by MEC’s Director of Media and Public Relations, Sangwani Mwafulirwa, the councils are in Mzimba, Lilongwe Rural, Lilongwe City, Mangochi, Mangochi Municipality, Chikwawa, Nsanje and Mwanza.
Meanwhile, the electoral body is reviewing the challenges and successes encountered in the second phase of the voter registration exercise.
The outcome of the review will guide them to see if an extension of the second phase is necessary.
