Parliament calls for ATI Act compliance

The Parliamentary Committee on Media and Communications has pledged to continue enforcing compliance with the Access To Information-ATI Act in all public institutions.

The chairperson for the Committee, Susan Dossi, was speaking at Mponela in Dowa during an orientation workshop on the ATI Act for Higher Education Students’ Loans Grants Board (HESLGB) staff members.

She has since commended HESLGB for realising the importance of the ATI Act in its operations.

Meanwhile, the Executive Director for HESLGB, Prince Phwetekere, says the training on the ATI Act was organized as a fulfillment to its statutory obligation.

ATI Act came into operation in 2020.
