Ministry of Tourism has called on players in the tourism sector to be innovative and develop exciting ideas to elevate the country’s profile through the industry.
Chauncy Simwaka, the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, made the call during the Grand Finale of the 2024 Sunbird Annual Culinary Competition in Lilongwe.
He highlighted that tourism can contribute substantially to the country’s GDP if the players are creative and innovative.
The Grand Finale of the 2024 Sunbird Annual Culinary Competition featured chefs competing in various categories, including Junior, Pastry, Non-Chefs, Students, Senior, Main Course, Mystery Junior, and Mystery Senior categories.
Prince Msamanyada emerged the overall winner, having been outstanding in all categories.
