To address the rising number of road accidents, Lumbadzi Police has engaged motorcycle operators to emphasize the importance of road safety regulations.
Traffic Officer, Vincent Kachitsa, urged operators to take responsibility for their own safety and that of their passengers.
Kachitsa said many accidents involving motorcycle operators result from reckless driving, speeding, driving under influence and failure to wear protective gear.
Sub-Inspector Francis Kakhobwe of the Community Policing Branch also addressed the gathering, offering crime prevention strategies and advising operators to install anti-theft devices and immobilisers.
