Minister of Lands, Deus Gumba, has urged District Commissioners and Chief Executive Officers of local councils to take a leading role in implementing physical development plans.
Gumba made the remarks in Salima during a meeting between the Ministry of Lands and local authorities on the progress of Devolution and Physical Development Plans.
While aknowledging the significant improvements in the outlook of cities and towns, Gumba notes that there are some challenges with land use and physical development that need to be addressed for the effective implementation of the National and District Physical Development Plans.
