Likoma and Nkhotakota districts have emerged the winners in this year’s swimming competition in the Under 15 and Over 15 categories, respectively, which was held at Sunbird Mkopola Beach in Mangochi.
The Malawi Schools Sports Association (MASSA) facilitated the tournament, which had 38 athletes from across the country.
Justice Msopela, Deputy Director in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, believes it served its purpose.
Blackson Malamula, MASSA President, is optimistic that the next edition of the competition will be even more thrilling, applauding parents and schools for allowing the swimmers to participate in the games.
