Kasungu-based businesswoman wins Plasma TV in Kuiphura ndi Mukuru Competition

A 36-year-old plastic goods vendor from Kasungu has emerged as the winner of a 40-inch Smart Plasma Television in the November draw of the Kuiphura ndi Mukuru Competition.

Matuta is the first recipient of the monthly grand prize, while Maliam Ahmad and Emmanuel Kaipa Manda secured a Bluetooth speaker and a Tecno Pop 8 smartphone, respectively. Ten additional participants were awarded T-shirts and golf shirts.

Speaking after the draw, Mukuru Malawi Country Manager, Pride Chiwaya, said that more prizes are lined up, culminating in a grand prize of a Mitsubishi Xpander.

Chiwaya explained that to participate, individuals need to send or receive money using the newly launched Mukuru Wallet, a platform that facilitates sending, receiving, and storing funds. He noted that over 1,000 people took part in the first phase of the competition.

The next draw is scheduled for December, with the final draw set for January. In addition to the Kuiphura ndi Mukuru competition, the company is running a cashback campaign, allowing recipients to reclaim wallet transaction fees.
