Govt to construct more modern roads – Chakwera

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has reassured Malawians that the country remains committed to constructing modern roads using cutting-edge construction technologies to ensure their long-term sustainability.

He said this during the official opening of the Cape Maclear Road in Mangochi.

President Chakwera emphasized the importance of competence among the construction industry professionals, urging them to adopt and implement contemporary approaches in road construction to ensure sustainability.

He highlighted the significance of the newly constructed road, saying that it will greatly enhance mobility for both local and international tourists, as well as the communities in Mangochi.

President Chakwera emphasized that this initiative is inclusive and beneficial to all Malawians, regardless of their political affiliations.

Second Deputy Secretary General for Malawi Congress Party, Gerald Kazembe commended the President for spearheading the development, noting that it signifies a new era of progress in the advancement of Mangochi and the nation as a whole.
