The Global Fund has assisted the Government of Malawi through the Ministry of Health with 41 utility vehicles worth K1.3 billion.
Global Fund Portfolio Manager, Osian Jones, said this is part of efforts seeking to complement the government’s efforts to improve the health sector in the country.
Minister of Health, Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, said the gesture will push Covid 19 and Polio Vaccination as well as the administering of ARTs among others.
The 41 vehicles have been distributed to all districts in the country to help ease the challenges of transportation of Covid 19, HIV and Malaria response materials in rural and hard-to-reach areas.
