FREE WIFI IN BLANTYRE

A few months after the government through Public Private Partnership Commission launched the Digital Malawi Project, residents in Blantyre City and surrounding districts can attest to its reality.

This follows the commissioning of Free WiFi Zone for All by one of the country’s internet service providers, Bengol Net.

Speaking during the launch of the project in Sunnyside Blantyre, Bengol Net’s Chief Executive Officer, Mohammad Zafar Abdullar, said the facility will boost people’s social and economic endeavours with the easy access to the internet.

“We live in the digital era and access to the internet is part of our everyday life. For example, now students can converge and study. People can access books and everything on the internet without challenges,” said Abdullar

Currently, places like Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, Blantyre Secondary School, National Library, Limbe and Chirimba Industrial Area have been connected under the project.

The project will reach the Northern Region in no time.
