Former DPP leaders in the north join PDP

Former Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leaders in the Northern Region including Regional Governor, Kenneth Sanga, Director of Women, Joyce Chikukula, Director of Youth, Kelvin Chirambo, among others, have joined the People’s Development Party (PDP).

The trio, made the announcement during a press briefing in Mzuzu, pointing out that they want to support Kondwani Nankhumwa “who tried to bring sanity in DPP only to be blocked and frustrated by the party.”

PDP interim leader, Nankhumwa, announced on 2 May 2024 about the formation of the party.
