Death-toll rises to three in Dedza road accident

Dedza District Hospital has confirmed that three people have been confirmed dead following a road accident at Mkutu Village along the M1 Road in Dedza District on Monday between 4 and 5 PM, involving two cars and a motorbike.

Yesterday, two victims were pronounced dead at the hospital.

Hospital publicist, Mwaya Liabunya, said a total of 11 people were affected, of these, three were referred to Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe, four are admitted to Dedza Hospital and one was treated as an outpatient.

Dedza Police Public Relations Officer, Beatrice Jefita, said further details would be provided once the traffic officers have completed their investigation.
