Area 30 lauds Blue Eagles Volley club for Botswana fundraiser

Malawi Police Service has praised Blue Eagles Volleyball Club for their initiative in raising funds for the forthcoming Zone 6 Senior Championship set for Botswana in December this year.

Speaking at a fundraising event organised by the team in Lilongwe, Deputy Inspector General responsible for Administration, Happy Mkandawire, commended the team for raising nearly half of their K29 million budget without seeking help from the police.

Blue Eagles volleyball team’s publicity secretary, Samuel Gama, expressed gratitude to Star Trading and Dhua Technologies, who donated K2 million during the fundraiser and called for more support.

Star Trading’s Managing Director, Adrian Kalembo, applauded the team’s passion, which he says inspired their company to make the contribution.

Both men’s and women’s volleyball teams are expected to participate in the Zone 6 senior championship this year.
